Admin left colum displays strange

I have been having a minor issue which the icons for each section of the left column display incorrectly. When I use my laptop, the left colum displays like this

On my normal computer it displays next to my stuff like it is suppose to. The only thing I can figure out is the issue is my icons are displaying inappropriately.

I was also noticing that with the icons they show as all of them instead of just one. My other site’s admin are looks like this

Which the icons are single instead of a row of them.

Could some one tell me what they think is up? I tried turning off my plugins and they did not faze this issue.
