I have had this problem for a few weeks now. Everything is laid out similarly, but there are absolutely no images, buttons, color, etc like the real wp back end. I have hosting with justhost, I have several different blogs running the same theme and none of them are having problems, the front end is not affected – site looks fine.
I have tried FTPing a whole new admin folder over, I have deactivated all plugins, changed the theme and upgraded to 3.0. Still have no wp formatting. Any help please? It’s very irritating!

Here is login page so you can see what I mean – the whole dashboard is like this – https://www.healthyhabitsnow.com/wp-admin

Unlike the other threads I could find, my dashboard still has the layout – just not the buttons, colors, formatting. It’s not all running down the side like others. I also do not use free hosting.

  • Try re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress 3.0

I just tried your suggestion. I FTPed a fresh version of everthing except the content folder and there is still no change. ???

Check the permissions on the files and directories under the /wp-admin/ directory. All files should be 644 and directories should be 755.

I could kiss you. ?? Somehow the directories were all changed to 744. Have no idea why or how – but they were. Changed them back and refreshed my admin panel. It’s all beautiful again. Thank you!!!
