I was doing a search on my domain name on Google. Some of the results actually include my Admin ID within the URL.

The format of the return is: mydomain.com/author/adminID, where “adminID” is my actual wp-login username.

I changed my username from Admin to something else a while ago. I thought this would discourage people trying to work out my password, but now that newer ID shows up in Google. How does Google find that path, and how can I keep my ID from becoming part of the URL?
Also, if possible, can I alter the current information so I don’t have to go with another ID?

You can instruct Google how to list your site content (and even request link removal) using a robots.txt file, a sitemap.xml file, and a auth method as listed in your Google Webmaster Tools account…also review if any SEO plugins are in use and how they are setup/function. Additionally, ensure you are using a strong password – usernames are easy to guess, strong passwords not.
