Hi everyone, I’m trying to set up a self-hosted www.ads-software.com site but kinda got into a mess… Wondering if anyone can help me out!

    Here’s what I did:
    1. I registered for a domain and hosting service with Bluehost, and installed wordpress through Bluehost, and started building the website.
    2. After experiencing some website downtime and reading negative reviews on Bluehost, I decided to cancel my hosting account with Bluehost, and started using GoDaddy hosting instead, but I kept my domain at Bluehost.
    3. I followed instructions, pointing my nameservers at Bluehost to GoDaddy, and even went into the DNS zone editor and pointed my DNS A records to GoDaddy as well.
    4. I installed wordpress from GoDaddy this time, but when I clicked on the link that leads me to the login page, I see the “404 Error File Not Found” message, and the Bluehost logo on the page.

    Here’s my domain: leechoitrading.com

I also tried pinging it and all the stats seemed right. It may be that I need to wait for longer for the changes to take effect? I only completed all those changes an hour or two ago. In any case I was hoping for kind volunteers to take a look at my site and stats, just to make sure that I didn’t miss any steps.

Thank you so much! And apologies for the long post!

I see a WP site on GoDaddy on that domain – and a login screen here:

Wpyogi: Thanks for your quick response!

The problem with that is that the login screen at the address you typed only allows me to type in the login credentials that I created under Bluehost. I installed and set up wordpress under GoDaddy under the same domain with another username and password, and was able to log into my wordpress earlier in the day using that, but it wouldn’t work anymore.

I’m currently trying to use the admin log-in link provided under GoDaddy’s website, the link address is this: https://p3plcpnl0463.prod.phx3.secureserver.net:2083/cpsess5292958442/3rdparty/installatron/index.cgi?s=FnzCwBDFzEotAXfy&cmd=sitexfer&id=a9kzx0ndv6ogs0w0888ww80g0

But that link gives me the error message.

The reason why I want so badly to log into the WordPress account under GoDaddy and not Bluehost is that the account under Bluehost doesn’t allow me to connect with WordPress for Jetpack, but I was able to do that with the one under GoDaddy…

Any idea what could be going on here?

Sounds like you should ask GoDaddy. And/or see:

I called GoDaddy but that wasn’t much use either. Instead I checked my BlueHost account again and realized I didn’t have WordPress uninstalled from their end, which may be causing the confusion.

However, now that I have WordPress uninstalled from BlueHost, my domain is just giving me the error message. see: https://www.leechoitrading.com ; same story with the wordpress admin login page.

Now I have no idea what to do :/

Nevermind–it’s working now! Apparently uninstalling WordPress from Bluehost, reinstalling wordpress on GoDaddy, then waiting for around 20 minutes did the trick. Thanks WPyogi!
