    When I first installed WordPress I created my own Theme and selected it in Admin / Manage Themes. The WordPress Default Theme folder still exists on the server but I’m not using it.

    Recently I’ve noticed that Admin / Manage Themes says I’m using Default, but I’m not. There is an option to select my Theme but I’m reluctant to press the button to correct it in case something breaks.

    I would welcome any suggestions on why WordPress admin shows Default as being the current Theme, even though my own Theme is actually the one in use.

    I’m using WordPress 3.0.3

    No immediately obvious reason why Appearance -> Themes would be showing an incorrect theme. Have you had any database problems? Have you tried deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem?

    No database problems that I know of. Deactivating plugins makes no difference.

    In the db’s options table:

    template = correct_theme_foldername
    stylesheet = correct_theme_foldername
    current_theme = WordPress Default

    So current_theme is showing the wrong data, but I assume this does not matter. Can I correct it though – that is what I’m wondering. It looks as if the current_theme field is purely for admin display, not actual Theme selection, but I’m not sure.

    Resolved by me. In the db options table, I manually edited current_theme to the correct Theme description.
