    Hi,
you made a great work with Popup maker, my congrats!!

    Just a suggestion.

In my opinion “add popup” shouldn’t be the first item in Admin menu, since the first item should be “All popups”. This is a standard for WordPress menus (posts, pages, media and all other plugins admin menus are like that ).

Even more important, is that “add popup” shouldn’t be the default action.
In fact if I click on “Popup maker” in admin menu, a new popup will be added, wich is not what I expect to happen, so I have to delete the new popup all the times.

I’m afraid that a non-expert user, would end up with lots of unwanted popups before realizing that “add popup” is the default action.
That’s what happened to a client of mine.

@aledef – Hmm, I think there is something going on in your site out of the norm.

    To your points:

    1. All popups screen should be first, it is.
    2. Clicking Popup Maker main menu item should go to All Popups screen, it does.

Here is a screenshot of a clean install, and I just clicked on the Popup Maker menu item to load this page.

The default url for the main Popup Menu item is & all popups screen is: /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=popup

The url for adding a new popup is /wp-admin/post-new.php?post_type=popup

You either have a plugin modifying your admin menu, or one changing your permissions to disallow viewing all popups.

Hope that helps. If your issue is resolved please take a moment to rate and review the plugin or support.

    Hi danieliser,
I tested the plugin on a clean WP insttall as well with Twentynineteen theme and no other plugins.

Wp and theme are up to date, but still get the menu issue.

    Please see screenshot here:

Please note that my test site is in italian.
Could it be something related to italian translation?

    I did some more testing.
The issue goes away if I switch Wp to english, so it is definitely related to translation, at least to italian translation.

@aledef – Not sure how to prevent that if its based in the translation system. We don’t control any of that, its part of WP core. I will ask around, but my guess is that it has something to do with the fact that some strings are translated and others aren’t, try removing the files in the languages folder of the plugin.

I’ll remove the the files in the languages folder, but they will be there again on the next update.

Hope yo find a definitive solution.
Let me know if you need any help with Italian trnslation ??

@aledef – We are working toward removing those language files for all languages that have valid language packs in the next major verion update (v1.9).

Hope that helps. If your issue is resolved please take a moment to rate and review the plugin or support.
