Admin Menu Option Missing

  • After manually changing my table prefixes on one of my sites for security purposes I got an error. Mark’s post and fix for the error was spot on and worked great. (This is something that should be easier to do anyway but that is another post)

    But now I am missing the ‘Plugins’ menu from my menu list. If I go to the Plugins URL it works as expected, theres just no link from the menu at the left.

    Can someone point me in the right direction to rebuilding what I need to get that button to show back up.

    I can do a simple reinstall / restore posts / plugins, but this should take considerably less work.

    Seems it’s still related to the database change. The Plugins and Users option are missing and I think it’s due to the system not reading my permissions properly in the database. Looking to see if I can force my account up to the proper levels and then probably going to be forced to do a reinstall.

    Fixed some issues with the User_Roles table, got things sorted out and database cleaned up. Ended up comparing some things with a fresh install based on the table prefix I wanted to use.

    Word to the wise, dont change your prefix after you install. Just do a reinstall.
