    Hi,

    I am migrating my current blog to a multisite installation. I have moved all files from dev.example.com to example.com.

    I have change the name of the domain in the wp tables of the main site: wp_options, wp_site, wp_blogs, …

    I can login as admin. Now :
    . the menu ‘My Sites’ points on example.com/wp-admin/my-sites.php
    . the sub-menu ‘My Sites’->’Network Admin’ points on dev.example.com/wp-admin/network

    I understand that this is buil by wp-includes\class-wp-admin-bar.php and a hook admin_bar_init but I can’t go further to debug this problem.

    Is there some value that is not stored in the database?

    Moving this multisite installation is a nightmare.
    Do not hesitate to ask for further precision.
    Regards,
    Jean-Pierre

    I precised that clicking on any sub-menu of ‘Network’ (Dashobard, Sites, …) generates an error message:

    “Error establishing a database connection” / “Could not find site dev.example.com. Searched for table wp_blogs in database example_wpxxxx. Is that right?”

    I can’t find where it gets the value ‘dev.example.com’ as it is not anywhere in any tables (except the mail of the admin).

    Ok. I found that I had to change wp-config.php.
    Now it workds (I cannot login with another user but I will check why.

    You can close this ticket.

    Last recommandation: work in a dev subdomain but don’t try to copy/move on the main domain. Instead, redo the operations on the main domain.

    There are not a lot of information on this topic and most of it is not for a multisite installation.
