Admin Menus Won’t Stay Open

  • Hi there,

    First time this ever happened to me: installed the Hebrew version of 2.7.1. Everything works OK except the admin menus won’t stay open – I click on Pages, for example, it opens. I click on Plugins – the plugins menu opens but the Pages closes. Only the Posts menu remains open no matter what I do. I tried it on FF and IE – same thing.

    Also tried clearing cache and cookies. Nothing.
    Tried disabling all plugins – nothing.

    I don’t want to upgrade at this point.

    So – any thoughts or help?

    Update:

    Upgrading to 2.8.2 didn’t solve the problem.
    Installing a fresh WordPress on a new DB didn’t solve the problem either…

    Have you tried:

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems.

    – renaming the plugins folder via FTP

    I tried switching to the default theme and disabled all plugins – didn’t help.

    As I said, I also did a completely new installation with a new and fresh DB on the same server – a clean WP installation with no plugins and no themes – and the problem persisted.
