Admin not receiving any email notification when user post comments

  • Hi,

    I’ve been pulling my hair for the last couple of days. Whenever a user posts a new comment admin(me) does not receive a email notification. When a user reply on a comment admin receives an email notification with the help of Simple Comment Notification plugin. When admin post a new comment user receives email notification. No problem there.

    I have “Email me whenever Anyone posts a comment” on and using wordpress to send out emails. No plugins are used to send emails.

    Am i missing something? Any help is appreciated.

    So far I figured out that I receive notification emails on new comments on posts but not on pages.
