    Hello,
While setting up the plugin for WP (using Divi theme and WooCommerce on the same site) got the “Constant Contact Forms has experienced issues that need addressed” admin notice.

    Here is the debug log:
    [2022-11-21 10:07:25] API.INFO: ConstantContact_API::add_list:323 – http.status.not_found – No matching resource was found for the supplied URL. [] []

I’ve tried to Sync Lists with Constant Contact and to update the form after that – did not help. I still do not see any new contact added to the chosen list after submitting the form, but I (as an admin) get a notification via email that someone has filed the form.

P.S.: Could the issue be connected to the fact that the website is currently available via ip-addres (since the old version of it is still on the domain name till the new version is finished)?
P.S.S.: Another thing which could affect the plugin is that I don’t have SSL on the new version of the website (the one available via ip-address)?

    Hi @grayhunter

Possible but not for certain on those last two parts.

Have you been creating lists inside your WP Dashboard as opposed to perhaps in your Constant Contact account dashboard? May be worth trying to create inside Constant Contact and then pull in to the WP install to be assigned to your form there.

I have pulled in the lists to the WP and after that I’ve created a new list inside WP. If the plugin does not support this feature why do we have this button there? ?? Could you fix the bug, please?

The plugin does support lists coming from both directions, the question is why the error is happening for you specifically at the moment, and we do have some leads that you outlined in the original post as possible reasons.

I just tested and confirmed that creating a list in WP did push it up to my constant contact account, so it works as a whole.

Thanks, I can confirm that creating a list in WP does push it up to a constant contact account. But it does not add a subscriber to the list. Could you try this as well, please, and if this works for you – please advise why it does not work for me…

Do you have a public link where I could interact with the form at ? There’s a variety of possible reasons why the submission fails, and we hopefully have enough catches in the code to at least document why, but first we need to trigger the failure too, to get it logged.

Hello and sorry for the late reply (was launching the website).

The website is online now (with SSL), please inspect the form and advise: simplysoundandvision.co.uk/subscription

Also, here are screenshots of my settings – hope this could help: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/iql8efoxl112xcd61b5j5/h?dl=0&rlkey=1c2zhybu2nner0rajm4lm3z6c

Thank you for your patience over the holiday weekend @grayhunter

Just submitted to the form as a test. Can you confirm when you have a moment if you have a “Constant Contact Forum Support” list entry?

Thank you for testing the form. The only thing that happened is an email notification (I got it before while testing myself as well), but no entry was added to ConstantContact side…

Please see the screenshots ( https://www.dropbox.com/s/jzdeib9wjfnrkfq/Form%20Testing%20Results%20%28SSAV%29.zip?dl=0 ) and advise.

Were there any new logging entries added to the debug log area for the submission?

    (@grayhunter)

Please advise on where I can look for it?

If you mean Contact Form settings -> Support -> Enable logging for debugging purposes, I’ve just enabled the settings. Would you mind testing the form once again, please?

Newly submitted jut now, and yes that’s the debug log area I was referring to.

Here are the logs from Contacts Form -> Debug Logs:

I have no idea why there are no logs for today, as well as why what the old logs can tell you… Please advise.

Have you saved/edited the form itself at all recently? It feels like it doesn’t have a list selected properly somehow. Perhaps edit, and uncheck any lists associated, and save, and then edit again to re-check which list new signups should be added to. Then I can try again with submitting.

I can see two places where a form can be selected – in the form settings itself (but it is called the way which means that you let a subscriber choose a form he/she wants to subscribe to). And another place is in general settings. In each place you can choose several forms at once.

Could you please advise me on the correct place(s) to select (and, maybe, deselect) the form and other settings that I should use to make relevant tests (and hopefully get useful logs)?

Where to select existing forms vs where to edit the available forms are actually different things. The General Settings area is meant more for toggling some functionality around comments and login/registration if I recall right, and which form to submit the user to.

My comment above would be going to https://simplysoundandvision.co.uk/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=ctct_forms and clicking to edit the form in question, and deselecting/reselecting the associated list(s).
