    Hi Brian,

    everything went smoothe with Noptin, except: After a while I noticed that the admin email does not get any notifications about new subscribers.

    All other mails are sent without problems. I added a valid and tested mail address to the “Notification recipient(s)” field in the Settings.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Hi Frank,

    That feature was removed.

    You can, however, recreate it using automation rules.

    Click on Noptin > Automation Rules > Add New then set the trigger to New Subscriber and the action to Send Email.

    Use your email address as the recipient of the email. You can use merge tags to personalize the email content using subscriber details.

    Great, Brain — it worked fine: I get Admin notifications now after setting up rules for subscriptions and unsubscriptions.

    • The subscription notification is send only after the link in the double opt-in mail has been clicked/confirmed.
    • The unsubscription notification is send after the subscriber has clicked on the unsubscribe link in a mail. So I understand that someone who unsubscribes does not get an extra mail to confirm — which I think is good (less complicated).

    PS. You could/should point out that in the Automated Emails / Campaign subject line tags are allowed. Other fields where tags are allowed have a remark — the subject field not.
