Admin page broken after WP update

Most likely that it is some conflict with one of your other plugins etc.

I can confirm that the maintenance plugin does not work on 4.8 WP websites. We had to roll back updates on 10 of our development sites.

Just today we uploaded new version of plugin 3.5 which tested up to 4.8 and works fine.

Version 3.5 is the version that does not work with any of our WordPress 4.8 development sites.

Hello I have the same issue after a site restoring due to Child theme errors – I leaved the plugin switched to on before to this and now I cannot access to my wp-admin url in wp 4.8.
