Admin page changes submit, then come up to blank white window

This morning I took a WP install live. I had/have it installed in a subdirectory at iec2020.com/wordpress. At 7 a.m. I changed the .htaccess file and removed the old site content. I followed the directions, copying the index.php to the root and the web site is working perfectly! As far as the viewing public is concerned.
But in the background I’m having problems with my dashboard.
When I edit a page, for example on:
https://www.iec2020.com/wordpress/wp-admin/post.php?post=103&action=edit
and press the Update button, instead of seeing the page reload and the “Page Updated” message, I simply get a blank white screen at
https://www.iec2020.com/wordpress/wp-admin/post.php
Any idea what is causing this?
