admin page no-style, text only

  • Hi all!

    I moved my website from www myoldsite.it/test_folder/ to www newsite.it .
    The site is well shown but the wp-admin interface is gone wrong! I see a text version only! It is is impossible to use it

    I had deleted the site and re-imported again from the old one several times: even the same result.

    May you help me understand what I had a mistake?

    How have you moved your website?

    Was it using a plugin or manually?

    Have in mind that you can’t just move your website folder or change the URL on Settings. You need also update all your database with the new URL.

    Maybe a good and easy way is using a plugin like Duplicator.

    If the admin is the only issue, the best thing to do is download the full ZIP of WordPress, and use FTP upload the files in that to over-write the existing fiels on your site. Just remember to delete the wp-content folder before you do so you don’t over-write anything from your own uploads, themes, etc.

    Sure Felipe! I used Duplicator plug in! either 1 step and 2 step methods: even the same result!

    Hi Catacaustic: I tryed as you suggest: I had to correct the wp_config file manually… the home page was reachable on browser navigation… no other pages! and the admin still text mode! So I restore the previous files… now I am at the starting point!
