• Hi, I’ve seen the other posts related to this issue and appreciate it is most likely to be theme/plug-in conflict.

    however as this has been on on-going issue with this site (log-in page intermittently stops previewing) I am struggling to see the theme/plug-in conflict, ie: if there’s a conflict it would not be intermittent (we reset the page by using a 24hr previous back-up re-install)

    So before we rip into plug-ins and spend a lot of time basically rebuilding the plug-in use I added a de-bug plug-in which on the most recent admin page issue has revealed this error

    wp-includes/class-wp-user.php:734 – has_cap was called with an argument that is deprecated since version 2.0.0! Usage of user levels is deprecated. Use capabilities instead.
    require_once(‘wp-admin/admin-header.php’), require(‘wp-admin/menu-header.php’), _wp_menu_output, current_user_can, WP_User->has_cap, _deprecated_argument

    can anyone ID this message and advise a fix?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • WordPress core (in the admin menu header) called has_cap, but the value it was given was incorrect. So you are back to determining which plugin (or theme) is passing a bad value for its admin menu.
    You can use the Health Check plugin to Troubleshoot it. It allows you to disable plugins for the admin user only, so it doesn’t affect site visitors.
