Admin Panel is impossible to use and driving me crazy

  • Hi guys, wordpress is EXTREMELY hard for me to use and was wondering if you can help me. Currently I’m using the newest version at 3.5.1

    1. Whenever I click the add media/images button, nothing pops up. I click it a million times and i can’t do anything (when adding a new post).

    -Even when I click on “edit” for the draft, visibility and publishing date – NOTHING HAPPENS?!

    2. When I try to add tags, it doesn’t add them but goes back to the “all posts” page

    3. On the left menu where the Posts/Media/Links/Pages/etc there are many sub menus in there. For example, posts has All Posts/Add New/ Categories/ Tags/

    However, if I am in the Media page or the Links page and I want to go directly to the categories page. I have to first click on “Posts” then click on “categories”

    Wow this is extremely inconvenient for me to do.

    How are you guys easily using the admin panel?

  • What theme are you using? Did you try to switch to the default 2012 theme and de-activate ALL plugins to see if you still have issue with adding media?
    How exactly did you try to add a tag?
    Categories are located right where you decribed they are. We’re talking about post categories so it’s logical they are under the posts tab.

    I’m using the Daily Theme by Theme Junkie…

    You know when you add tags, you just add the tag like for example: tag1, tag2, tag3 then click add tags and it automatically adds. But for me it doesn’t work!

    Have you tried, as suggested, deactivating your plugins and switching to the twentytwelve theme?

    wwallace1,as mentioned many times on this forum,themes and plugins (or combinations of plugins)can cause problems in the backend also. Please, try switching to the default 2012 theme and disabling ALL plugins to see if there’s any change.

    Well I tried deactivating all plugins and switched to the basic twenty theme however nothing has changed. I think maybe this is a javascript issue or something else.

    Is there something I’m missing??

    Yes, it might be. Can you post a link to your site with all plugins off and twentytwelve active?
