Admin roles on sub-sites unable to edit products

    Hi, I am creating new users as Admins of their sub-sites so they can edit upload and manage their own sites.

    Trouble is even with admin permissions, they are not able to edit products – when they click on the product tab the screen reloads to the dashboard.

    I’m not sure what is going on – I am using
    Marketpress and plug ins
    User Role Editor
    User Switching

    Any suggestions to have the user I have given admin permissions to be able to operate as an admin?

    Are they actually admins of the sites? User Role Editor makes it easy to break your permissions, and on Multisite the roles are per site, so you need to keep that in mind when you start messing with it.

    Can you confirm that the role is a TRUE admin and not an admin role you’ve modified?

    The admin role was created as a new user in the dashboard of each sub-site.
    I created the new admins from my own super-admin account.
    I haven’t modified the admin role – it shows the same capabilities as my own super admin, just doesn’t let the new user edit products.
    Not sure otherwise what you mean by TRUE admin?
    Would it be worth taking out the URE plugin and re-installing or trying another plugin you might suggest?

    Yeah, I would take out any user role plugins and clean them out for that site to make sure they’re not accidentally messing with the roles.

    Hi, I deactivated
    User Role Editor
    User Switching
    and registered a new user just as an editor and it works!

    Thank you! I am not sure why they didn’t work together but there you go!

    I want the sub-site owners to be only able to be editors of their sites and this is working now, so three cheers for your support!
