Admin Screen blank

  • Hello, I haven’t logged into a clients WP site for a while and just tried only to find all the screens white. The side bar is there but when I click on anything there is nothing displaying. The front end of the site works fine as well.

    Please help!

  • Try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and the wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of your current version of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    Do you mean that I delete the files from the ftp I am using? So go on ftp and delete all files expect for the files you listed? How do I get a “fresh download’? I still can’t see anything on the WP admin login.

    Do I delete the files but save them to my desktop and then just re-upload the same files?
