Admin search box not working

I’ve used this plugin before and it worked right, but for this new site everything works except the search box in the admin area (backend). When I click on “+Create connections” nothing happens. The URL just adds a “#” at the end. I tried deactivating all other plugins and it didn’t seem to work. Please help!
