admin sidebar is missing on new install

  • Hi! I just installed WordPress this morning, and as far as I can tell the install went fine–there are no files missing, wasn’t really any problems.

    However, the left-hand sidebar on the admin page is completely missing! I obviously haven’t installed any plug-ins yet, so that can’t be the problem…does anyone know?

  • How do you know that there are no files missing? Sounds like something is. Download a fresh copy of WordPress and re-upload the wp-admin and wp-includes folders.
