Admin times out

  • When trying to update or add, click update it times out also admin and site so slow. I Deactivate all the plugins, and reactivaved them, still slow and times out. went to phpmyadmin and optimized table and still slow. I wasn’t like this before. I upgraded to WordPress 2.8.6 a few days ago. I don’t know if that what made it slow or what.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins and leaving them deactivated to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
