    Hello Plugin-Develops,

First of all Happy new Year!

I have problems with the Admin Toolbar feature. When i Hide “about WordPress” and Comments he doesnt save the settings (also when i try to hide any other point). Then the whole Toolbar ist buggy. Only shows “About WordPress” and Site title, everything else is hidden. A click on “restore default wordpress settings” doesnt helps but I can delete the settings under manage settings and everything is normal again. Also tryed to complete deinstall the plugin.

Maybe you have an idea to solve the problem. Everything other Plugin-feature works correctly for me and saves settings.

    I used this browsers:
    Chrome Version 71.0.3578.98
    Firefox Quantum Version 64.0

    Diagnostic Informations:
    PHP Version: 7.2.10
    Wordpress Version: 4.9.9
    Plugin Version: 7.8
    Current Theme: newspaper-lite-child
    Active Plugins:
    AJAX Search for WooCommerce
    Clean Login
    Contact Form 7
    SearchWP Live Ajax Search
    User Menus
    WP Custom Admin Interface
    WP Users Media

    I Appreciate any help.

    Hi @pbluhm,

You said: “When i Hide “about WordPress” and Comments he doesnt save the settings” can you explain this in more detail. That is, when you press save settings does it look the settings are being saved correctly or is the issue that the settings are saving correctly but they just don’t seem to be enacted?

Are you sure you have assigned the correct role/user to be subjected to the custom admin toolbar? (this is done below where you can customise the toolbar and above the save settings button).

If this doesn’t sort out your issue can you please send a screenshot. Thanks,

I’m having a similar issue. I’m able to save other menus just file (like Admin Menu, for example), but Admin Toolbar does not save. When I hit the ‘Save All Settings’ button, instead of getting a loading icon and then the “The settings have been saved.” message, the page will refresh. It seems like the onClick handler for this button isn’t working.

    PHP Version: 7.2.4
    Wordpress Version: 5.0.3
    Plugin Version: 7.8
    Current Theme: Koji
    Active Plugins:
    Classic Editor
    FloydCo Portfolio
    Login-Logout
    Members
    User Profile Picture
    MyWebSQL Database Manager
    Next Active Directory Integration
    WP Custom Admin Interface

I also wanted to mention that clicking the “Save All Settings” button will throw this error in the console: ReferenceError: event is not defined. The file throwing this error seems to be options-page-admin-toolbar.min.js.

    Hi @jennifermontes,

This issue should be fixed in an update shortly. Thanks,

The 7.9 update solves the issue for me. Thanks for addressing it so quickly!

No worries, thanks for providing the console error that was invaluable to solving the issue.
