• I’m using Admin Toolbar Menus with If Menu, and everything works perfectly on the front end.

If any user goes to Admin where they have access ONLY to edit his/her own profile, the conditional If Menu statements are ignored, and every user sees every link in the Admin Toolbar Menu.

The user’s privilege settings remain intact — they can’t view content they’re not otherwise permitted to view, but I don’t wish to show them links to pages they can’t view.

Any idea why If Menu settings would be ignored only on the back end?

I’m posting this on strong>If Menu support also. Hoping one of you might be able to easily identify the issue.

    Hey,

    Thanks for your support!

I personally have never used the plugin If Menu. I will download a copy and see if I can reproduce the issue and see what is happening.

    Thank you, Benbodhi!

We have site access by 4 custom roles, and the menus need to be different by role. We have people registering who aren’t familiar with WP, and we want them to be able to navigate back to the “members only” section intuitively. Thus the use of these two plugins.

What I did in the meantime is make one menu item — Return to “Members Only” Section — which links to same page, no matter their role. On that page, some PHP code determines their role and shows them the Role-appropriate links.

I am still interested to know what may conflicting between the two plugins though, and appreciate your looking into it. ??

Thanks for the additional information, it will help me for sure.
Sorry about the delay, I’m currently travelling a lot and have very little spare time.

Thank you, again, and no need to apologize — none of us should expect support on plugins provided for free. I appreciate that you’re looking into it at all!

    No rush, and safe travels!
