Admin unable to create Admin

  • Hi,

    I would like to create a second admin account and I am now unable to (from the first admin account). I found code snippets from other posts about editing admin accounts, but nothing has allowed me to create a new admin user. Any help would be appreciated.

    Also, any thoughts on how to allow editors to promote others to editor would be appreciated, too.

    Hi,

    In general you just assign the ‘Administrator’ role to the selected user and get new admin. Do you see ‘Administrator’ role at the roles drop-down list at the user profile? If you don’t try to deactivate all plugins and check again.

    In order user may manage other users his role should include at least: list_users, create_users, edit_users, delete_users.
