When I try to use de admin user the login page appears with pagename WordPress > Error and in ythe body appears “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.” (Chrome even after clean history and cache)
I can login with other users but when I finaly see the login page in a normal way my user is redirected to the home without login. The other users are ok but we dont have any other admin user and already went to the FTP and changed the name of the plugin and still nothing…
Tried in other computers and IP’s and its still the same…

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @legau, thanks for reaching out to us about this issue.

When you mention renaming the plugin, did you follow these specific steps?

    • Please use FTP/SFTP — or any file manager your web host provides via their administration panel.
    • Look inside the /wp-content/plugins/ directory and rename the wordfence directory to wordfence.bak.
    • Try logging in to your WordPress admin account
    • If the above log-in is successful, you can name the folder back to wordfence again.
    • Refresh your dashboard and you should be able to see Wordfence Active again. If not, go to the Plugins page and Activate it.

If you did and still cannot regain access, can you confirm if you have any other third-party user role editors installed that may have modified the admin user’s access rights?

In the mean time, you may also find some of the steps in this guide useful: https://www.wordfence.com/help/blocking/troubleshooting/

Let me know how you get on!

    Thanks,

    Peter.
