Hi all, I just installed WP in a subdirectory of my main domain (A). It is to be used with another domain (B). So I pointed domain B to the domain A subdirectory where I installed WP. So far so good, I can start the installation. I’ve entered al the right data, I ‘ve chosen a different database than the database domain A is using. I’ve checked the DB name, username and password, it’s all right.

I can install WP without problems running https://www.domainB.com/domainA/wp-admin/install.php and the dashboard is showing just as it’s supposed to do. But my homepage remains blank (www.domainB.com). I just dont get what the problem is. There is a standard theme active, I’ve tried to publish some pages and posts, but they all do not show on the site.

The url is https://www.metkidsopvakantie.nl Anyone any thought on how to get the site up and running?

    Thanks, Ronald

P.S. I did this kind of installation last week for another website of mine also and I didnt encounter this problem then…

It seems I ‘ve found a way to solve this problem. I don’t know why it works, but it does. I’ve deleted the index.php from the domainB directory and copied/pasted the index.php from one of my other wordpress sites running as subdirectory of domainA. That did the trick. As I said, I don’t know why, but apparently there was a bug in the original index.php
