Admin wp-login always redirect back to wp-login.php

I had the same problem and everything that I read didn’t help me. The problem was in the plugins. Details here! Maybe you have the same problem.

your solution does not work for me, as I’m using a pure 3.0.1 wp code, without any new plugins.
The only difference is that the same 3.0.1 works on another instance on same server.

I’ve just tried these; they don’t work.
I’m using Apache to support 2 wordpress instances with same 3.0.1 version, one is wp.xxx.com, the other is wp_t1.xxx.com. The tricky thing is, wp.xxx.com works fine, but wp_t1.xxx.com encounters this admin-login loop issue.

hey guys. finally I find the root cause.
It’s because subdomain wp_t1.xxx.com is not a valid domain name, which caused setCookie function unable to work; setCookie uses wp_t1.xxx.com as default value. While wp.xxx.com is valid and always works.
After I changed the subdomain to wpt1.xxx.com, wp-admin login now works fine. ??
