• Hi there,

In order to increase the security of my website, my hosting company imposes that the administration of my website being done through the sub-domain: https://admin.myWebsite.gov.tn and not from https://www.myWebsite.gov.tn. This rule is imposed to make the administration only accessible from a fixed address. Note that this is not my choice but imposed for governmental websites in my country.
I succeeded to setup WordPress but I face the following 3 problems:

1-Each time I went to access my website, I have to change the option named “siteurl” from the options table from: https://www.myWebsite.gov.tn to https://admin.myWebsite.gov.tn

2-Before performing an update (new Post/new Page, etc), I have to switch my website to maintenance mode because it is no longer accessible (since my site URL is set to https://admin.myWebsite.gov.tn which is accessible only from my IP.
3-When adding media to my website media library, its URL starts with “https://admin.myWebsite.gov.tn” which makes the file inaccessible to the world (due to firewall rule) so I am obliged to manually rename the URL of each used media.

Is it possible to make this process (changing siteURL from www to admin subdomain when accessing admin area and changing the URL of inserted media to start with www) transparent (or automatically done)?

I would like also that the site remains accessible to the world when accessing it from www subdomain. In other words, the siteUrl option should not be modified in the database in hard way but configured dynamically when I access my backend.

    Cordially,
    Mohamed Belhassen
