    I was able to add AAM Super Admin but I am still receiving Access Denied when trying to update posts from the Administrator account.

    Hi brad_sdb,
    Make sure that your Administrator Role as well as your admin user has all capabilities checked. You might unchecked some or removed.

    @crazychameleon try this:

    Go under the AAM menu and select the ConfigPress and add:

    [aam]
    super_admin = “1”

    thanks…and what about the normal admin?

    By adding the super_admin role to “1” in ConfigPress you should be setting your default Admin user to have super admin access to the AAM interface which means that your Administrator role should be visible again when on the Admin account.

    If you want to set a different user to be the super admin/be able to access the Administrator role then you will need to change 1 to the that user id.

    @wp AMM what is the purpose for not including the administrator role by default?

    Hi brad_sdb,
    Thank you for help with support!

    jhoffmcd the reason AAM does not show the administrator role is because more and more users are using it and in fact it is very powerful tool, more users messing around with Administrator role. We can not blame them because they do not know what they are doing.
    So this is kind of additional protection.

    Regards,
    Vasyl

    Vasyl: I see, it makes sense from a developer’s perspective. Good to know ??

    This doesn’t work?

    Based on documentation, AAM should not impact Super Admin user. However, when I inadvertently unchecked “Restric AAM” when in Administrator Role (thought I was in the role “Site Manager” I created (yeah, sucks)… Now I cannot access AAM.

    Any ideas how to get back the access?

    Thanks @brad_sdb. Very helpful, after upgrading from an old version of AAM and losing custom role settings clients.
