Administrator role not available

    Hi,

    I successfully migrated my site to a temporary domain but I am not able to login to Wp-admin area. I spoke to my hosting provider but they replied: “The issue is that your user does not have the Administrator role assigned. I tried to assign it, but the administrator role is not present in your website: ”

    Hi @gifturlo

    Did you also migrate the database? As user roles and login info is stored in the database. After the migration, you will need to login to the target site with the login info of your source site.

    If you didn’t, please migrate the database as well.

    If you did, can you please send us a Debug zip from the Debug page of the plugin at the source site to help us identify the problem? Thanks.

    Another one we would like to confirm with you is that did you see the success message after the restore?

    If you didn’t, please restore again and make sure you will see the success message.

    Thanks for your response.

    Yes, I migrated database & WordPress files both. Also, at the end of restore, there was a success message in the end.

    I tried sending you the debug report from the plugin but it is giving server error.

    Please let me the other alternative to send you the debug file.

    Please confirm whether you are using some plugins or settings about wp_user_roles on the source site.

    Because normally you cannot access wp-admin if the source site does not have wp_user_roles in the database options table.
