Hi! You’re plugin is great. ;D Recently, I needed to let a plugin support specialist onto my site, but when I went to the Temporary Login Without Password plugin, in order to set up a temporary login credential for them, the option to make the credential “Administrator” wasn’t there. It’s like it has disappeared … . I am most stumped. There is a new option that says “Exempt Customer,” and mention in the settings of Visible Role Options. Um, I’m assuming I hid the Administrator role option, and I don’t know how I did it! ?? Do you have any ideals about how I could get the Administrator role option back, please? Any help would be greatly appreciated for this matter that I know is my fault somehow … .

  • Hi,

    Thank you for your feedback.

Regarding the issue which you mentioned, please check whether the “Administrator” role is selected in Visible Roles settings.

You can check it from Users > Temporary Users > Settings. If it’s not selected, please select it and then check once again.

    Hi,?? ? ?
Your reply speed is incredible; thank you for responding! ?? No, I didn’t explain the problem very well. The Administrator option doesn’t exist. I don’t think it is Temporary Login Without a Password’s fault. I think I messed up my WordPress settings accidentally somehow. I have before used Temporary Login Without a Password without any problems. This time, when I tried to set the temporary login credentials to Administrator, the Administrator option has completely vanished. I am utterly stumped where to find a place on WordPress to make the Administrator a role option again.?

? ? ?Because this problem doesn’t allow me to use Temporary Login Without a Password for its intended purpose, I have been trying to fix it. I found a different plugin that resets roles to their original settings. When I activated it, the Shop Manager and WooCommerce related roles disappeared and I was denied access to WooCommerce, lol. ?? I deactivated WooCommerce and reactivated WooCommerce, and the Shop Manager and related WooCommerce roles came back. =)?

? ? ?Because of this event, I’m thinking I must of blithely deleted my Administrator role option somehow in the recent past, in a similar way. It looks like I am going to have to reset WordPress, and I think this will bring it back, lol. This is a bit of a big task, so I was hoping to find a different way to restore the Administrator role option to WordPress.?

? ? ?I’m sorry if it was out of place to ask for your advice in this matter, but I greatly respect how well your plugin handles roles and hoped that you might have come across such a problem before? But, maybe it is not so common to have someone make their own Administrator role option disappear ?? … .?

? ? ?Thank you again for your amazing response, and thank you so much for your time!?

    Aha ok.

    Got it.

We don’t do anything with roles. If you can see roles in WordPress while creating a new user, it should appear in Temporary Login Without Password.

Anyways, feel free to contact us if you have any further queries. We will be happy to help you.
