• Dear Gurus
A friend of mine, a WordPress newbie, complained, that she cannot participate in her WP discussions.

She is an admin, and when she wants to answer to a comment, she gets a message, saying she is not allowed to place a comment because she is an admin.

I think she does something wrong, but I’m not familiar with WordPress, although I am a computer guy.

What options should she set to be able to answer to comments, while keeping her admin role. Or is it really impossible? ??

    Thanks in advance

  • I can comment as admin on all my blogs. Never heard something like that…
    What version? Link?

Could you give us the error-message as it appears when she tries it? And what plug-in is/are used? Maybe this helps a little bit to track down the error.

Thank you, moshu. I will ask her version number. It is a Russian.
I don’t think that translation impacts settings. The link is https://www.rotmanova.de/blog

It is the latest version 1.5.2. The address you gave is a frame. The actual blog is here: https://rotmanova.leachim2k.de/blog/
BTW, WP doesn’t like frames. Sometimes the cookies get messed up and some people cannot login… It might be related, though I am not sure. Tell her to try to comment from the address I linked above.

Thank you very much for your help, moshu and fht.

I don’t know her settings – we are too far from each other. ?? Just could not believe that it was the way the WP works.

Now I could say her something more than just “I think this is not a case”
