• Please don’t clutter up the entire admin interface with ads, dismissable or not. This is in clear violation of WordPress’ plugin guidelines:

    https://developer.www.ads-software.com/plugins/wordpress-org/detailed-plugin-guidelines/ – See #11

Advertising within the WordPress Dashboard should be avoided. While developers are permitted to promote their own products and services, historically they have been ineffective; ideally users rarely visit these screens. Remember: tracking referrals via those ads is not permitted (see guideline 7) and most third-party systems do not permit back-end advertisements (notably, Google). Abusing the guidelines of an advertising system will result in such actions being reported.

  • Thank you for the feedback and concern. I will bring this to the development team. In version 3.0 we removed *all* of the limitations in Custome Sidebars. We do not have any locked features. I know ads are not always ideal but we’re continuing to think creatively through what it means to offer full-featured premium plugins that are sustainable and fully-supported – for free.

As you stated the ad is dismissible, it points to our product (which is actually another free service), It is not third-party, and it is not trackable.

That said, we want to get this right. I am passing this information along in hopes we can improve the experience for everyone. I hope you will reconsider your rating in the future and review the functionality as well as the ad.

    Hello @sc456a,

    We apologise for the inconvenience!

We released a new version with this issue fixed. Please update the plugin and try it out.

Hope you will reconsider your plugin’s rating after this ??

    Kind regards,
    Nastia
