Ads and Powered by Custom Search

Want to know if the ads area is empty by default and instead of Google Custom Search, there’s just Custom Search written below the ads area.

I know the border is probably because of my theme’s default css, but I want to know if the plugin has been programmed to show content in the Ads area, and is programmed to show Custom Search written without Google? (There’s an empty space for where Google is supposed to be, as seem in the screenshot).
