    Hi there,

We’ve been having a horrible time with our page builder plugins. We’ve tried multiple – OptimizePress and Beaver Builder to name a couple – and the ads keep appearing in the backend editor. Not only does it make it close to IMPOSSIBLE to edit pages, but it’s clearly messing things up.

Has anyone else experienced this? What can I do to fix this issue?

    Thanks,
    Ariella

Normally Ad Inserter does not insert anything on admin pages (it uses is_admin() function to check for admin pages).

If the theme or plugin backed pages use hooks for frontend (and do not present themselves as admin pages) then something might get inserted.

In such case you can still black-list url /wp-admin/*.

Thanks so much for your response! I tried that and it still isn’t working. What else could be causing this?

The problem was that it was not back-end editor. It was a front-end editor using Ajax and plugins saw it as content page. Therefore ads were inserted according to settings.

However, the editor loads page content via Ajax calls and Ad Inserter has setting for this!

So the solution was to disable Ajax calls (section Misc) for all blocks.
