Ads are super annoying, don’t use this plugin

  • I completely understand that they have to make money, but there are better ways. Adding ads in the editor area isn’t the way.

    I’m super disappointed about this plugin since I used it for many year, but it seems that they wanted to get everyone hooked, and then we see what the want.

    I really hope they revert this bad behavior. I hope the WordPress changes their plugin guidelines to prevent some intrusive behaviour.

    We understand that the Black Friday banner was annoying. Although it was dismissable, it was a bit buggy so we listened to our community and yesterday we publicly apologized for any inconvenience this may have caused to our users (link to Twitter) and released Yoast SEO v12.6.2 which completely removes the banner from the admin panel.
