    Hello again,

Sorry to bother you again so quickly. The plug-in lets me know there are crawler issues. I went to the troubleshoot and assesed it probably has to do with our ads.txt-file (we have one here /ads.txt).

The settings (under general, below) keep giving the error ‘the file was not created.
A third-party file exists: /ads.txt’. How do I overcome this?

Thank you so much – again,

    JN (SCEPTR)

    Hi JN,

you are not bothering at all.

Advanced Ads can help you to create an ads.txt file, but if you already have one then the plugin just informs you that such a file already exists. All should be fine.

Can you copy the exact wording of the message here?

    Thanks,

Thank you. Could you please check in your AdSense account if this message appears there as well? I would like to learn where it links to.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Hello again!

Yes, I get the same error-message on AdSense-account. Stupid. Found the problem as well.

I am getting the same issue but have not found how to fix it. A third-party file exists: https://scolediscovery.com/ads.txt
I am also getting this error:
    AdSense warnings

One of your sites is missing the AdSense publisher ID in the ads.txt file. Create one now. Learn more about AdSense account issues here. dismiss

I cannot figure out how to fix it.

Earnings at risk – One or more of your sites does not have an ads.txt file. Fix this now to avoid a severe impact on your revenue.

Hi jilinjames7, I am happy to give you some feedback, but please open a new thread. This one is closed and the original poster would get notifications on new messages as well.

    Thanks,

    Dear Thomas Maier,
I recently noticed a warning in the plugin and on Adsense about the ads.txt file.
I can’t insert it into WordPress. Can you help me? Thank you.
