    I received this notice from Google: Earnings at risk – One or more of your sites does not have an ads.txt file. Fix this now to avoid severe impact to your revenue.

    I downloaded the Advanced Ads plug in……how do I create the ads.txt file?

    Does it do it automatically when I create ads?

    I’m so confused I have no idea what I need to do to resolve this

    thanks for reaching out.

    Yes, once you connect your AdSense account through Advanced Ads > Settings > AdSense or just enter the publisher ID manually, the ads.txt file will be created.

    If there is any issue with that then it will be highlighted next to the ads.txt settings under Advanced Ads > Settings > General > ads.txt.

    Btw., I checked https://sewlicioushomedecor.com/ads.txt and your ads.txt seems to be working. AdSense is not very fast in picking up that file, but they will eventually after a few days or even weeks if you just created it.

    Thanks for you quick response! Do I need to add ads using the plug in and delete the ones I did through Google Ads?

    Or just start creating ads with the plugin?

    Advanced Ads helps you to place the ad codes you created within your AdSense account. So you basically use both. The plugin is especially helpful when you want to inject the ads into the content automatically or show different ads on different pages.

    Does that make sense?

    So I can place an add on one blog post that’s related to say strawberries, but it wont show on other blog posts?

    I am getting this error message in my dashboard from the app and do not know how to fix it.

    You can just close the warning. As I said, AdSense is not super fast in picking up the ads.txt changes but it looks fine.

    Yes, if you manage the ad codes manually under Advanced Ads > Ads then you can use the “Categories” option in the “Display Conditions” to show the ad only on posts belonging to a given category. Or use the “Tags” condition to show the ad only for posts belonging to specific tags.

    How do I change the ad? It’s been showing the same ad in the post ever since I added it.

    Hi Sewlicious,

    are you referring to the content of an AdSense ad or something else?

    AdSense shows ads dynamically based on the content and interests of the user. It is possible that they show the same ad to you multiple times while other users will not see it once since they are interested in other things.
