I have an ad text file using your plugin on my blog. I use Moneybox and google for my ads. I have had no problems until about a month ago.

I got a message that I needed to fix my google Adsense in my ads.txt file. I update but a month later, it still isn’t fixed.

I have noticed that when I go to https://www.serenityyou.com/ads.txt it is showing an old version and not my updated version.

How do I fix this, as I have tried all sorts.

@serenityyou are you using any sort of security plugin? Those oftentimes will block TXT files and need to ensure the ads.txt file is on their allowlists. Here are the other notes from our readme to ensure you have things set correctly on your end:

    • Ad blockers may break syntax highlighting and pre-save error checking on the edit screen.
    • Rewrites need to be enabled. Without rewrites, WordPress cannot know to supply /ads.txt when requested.
    • Your site URL must not contain a path (e.g. https://example.com/site/ or path-based multisite installs). While the plugin will appear to function in the admin, it will not display the contents at https://example.com/site/ads.txt. This is because the plugin follows the IAB spec, which requires that the ads.txt file be located at the root of a domain or subdomain.
    • If you are using a subfolder installation in a Multisite setup it will only work for the main site. This is because you can only have one ads.txt for a given domain or subdomain per the ads.txt spec. Our recommendation is to only activate Ads.txt Manager per-site.

no, i am not using an ad blocker, only got one ads.txt manager etc.

Not 100% about the rewrites. How do I make sure that is correct?

@serenityyou do you have any security plugins active? Those are also most likely blocking things if you’re running one.
