Adsense Ads Not Fitting in the Side bar

As I mentioned in the other thread, we really do need to know the dimensions of the ads you want the sidebar to be able to fit, otherwise we’re just guessing.

Could you show me the HTML you’re trying to add to your text widget? Add it to a Pastebin and post the link here.

I have two 300×250 and one 250×250.

The HTML that I posted in the Pastebin is the 300×250. I’d prefer to use the 300×250 if possible rather than the 250×250.

Did you try adding to your child theme the custom CSS I provided in the other thread:

@media screen and (min-width: 1000px) {
	.content-area {
     	max-width: 600px;
	}

	.site-main .widget-area {
     	float: right;
     	overflow: hidden;
     	width: 300px;
	}
}

Try adjusting the 600 and 300 numbers until you find a ratio that works well with your 300px sidebar ads.

Great I got the ratio right. But the ads leave a small yellow space at the top and overlap the ads below them. Even if I move an image in between the ads, the ad will still have that yellow space above the ad and overlap the image. How can I get them to move up or stay in the space?

Also, can I decrease the space on the left side of the posts so the posts are more right aligned and I have more space?

I would need to see this in action on your site to be able to help you with some custom CSS code that might fix this.

In which specific view do you want to do reduce the space “on the left side of posts”? Maybe you could you take a screenshot and add an arrow to point to exactly where you mean?

It looks like you want to make the main content area wider.

You can see in the parent theme’s stylesheet that the main content area is currently set to 1000px wide. You can try overriding that in your child theme.

Could you link to a page on your site where I can see this directly? I’ll need to see it in order to help with any CSS.

If you can’t show it to me, try locating the ID or class for each ad by using a browser inspector, and then adding some additional margin to it in your child theme.

My ad-blocker extension was blocking your ads, that’s why I couldn’t see them.

Since what you’re trying to do is pretty specific to these AdSense Flash ads – and really nothing to do with Untitled at this point ?? – I suggest you ask for help either in an AdSense-specific support forum or mailing list.
