Adsense Ads won't show up

  • I received my ad code from AdSense and copied and pasted it into a text widget on my page but my ads won’t show up. I got a notification from Google that:

    “In order to complete your request to show ads on your own website, you need to implement the ad code on lowcarbskinny.com/. Your upgrade request can only be reviewed once your ad code has impressions on that domain.”

    What am I doing wrong and where do I actually paste the ad code if the text widget isn’t the correct place?

    You should not place the AdSense code directly into the text widget.
    Google actually has a handy WordPress plugin that helps settings this up correctly.

    I would suggest reading the ‘About the AdSense Plugin for WordPress‘-article.

    I’d really appreciate it if someone could help me out.
