I have changed my cms from Joomla to WordPress and have run into an issue with auto adsense. I am running a child theme using the twenty twenty theme.
When adsense is activated and only when, the image or image gallery is loading full size images rather than the thumbnails which in turn is breaking the column block.
The image or image gallery is placed in the middle block of a three block column and when adsense is activated either using site kit, advanced ads or the old fashioned traditional method of placed ads, the images are loaded full size and pushes the columns either side into to a single vertical line of text.

The steps I have taken are deactivate ALL plugins except site kit and still broken, activate all plugins except site kit and everything works as it should.
When the image is full size and breaking the page it is fixed when clicking the image for the lightbox to work then click the X out and everything reloads as it should.
The adsense seems to behave itself on mobile or tablet but not on desktop.
The adsense is currently deactivated so visitors to the site are not presented with a webpage in a mess. I will activate for inspection if asked.
    Thank You in anticipation

@bodd54 Thanks for opening a support topic. Totally understand on your preference for disconnecting the AdSense module and Site Kit to maintain a good user experience.

If you insert the Auto ads code on your website manually, with Site Kit deactivated can you confirm whether the same issue persists?

@jamesosborne I have just added the auto ads into the header in my child theme and so far so good. I would really appreciate it if you could do a check on the site and confirm from your location the images are all okay.
    Thank You

@bodd54 Thanks for providing the additional information. It seems like something between the Auto ads logic and your site layout is causing the issue.

As this is occurring both with and without Site Kit active unfortunately there is not much we can action from our side. I did however create some supporting screenshots of the issue which you can find here. The AdSense product experts at the official Help Center should be able to assist in this case.

While it may not be realistic given your live website it might be worth setting up a staging website and checking for the same issue with another theme active. Alternatively you could also try temporarily activating another theme during a quiet period with not much traffic. Eitherway the AdSense product experts should be able to assist.

    Thanks for using Site Kit.
