    Hi there,

I really like this plugin. Any ideas on why Adsense ads are showing on posts/pages but not on my homepage? I have the following…

    Cache plugin: WP Fastest Cache
    Theme: Colormag Pro

I have tried going through some of the support articles with no success since I am partially showing ads.

    Any help would be great!

    Hi lastrowmusic,

    Thanks for reporting your problem.

I can confirm that the AdSense ads appear everywhere, except on the homepage. Unfortunately, I have no idea. The problem must be with AdSense.

Technically you have inserted the ad codes without any errors. But the second entry in your ads.txt looks wrong. I don’t believe that this causes your issue, but you might fix this. Here, you can find a manual about creating the ads.txt.

One possibility would be that the homepage somehow got on the block list of AdSense by a keyword, which indicates illegal content. Considering the theme of your website, I would rule that out, but maybe there was a post about a band with an explicit name.

If the problem has been around for a long time, I recommend creating a new ad in AdSense that you just put on the homepage instead of the AdSense units that work on all other pages. Maybe a new ad can trigger AdSense.

On your site, you could do this split integration with an ad group, for example, by adding a General Display Condition to both ads and selecting or deselecting the “Homepage” for each.

    Good luck,
    Joachim

Thanks for the reply. So I have tried to fix the ads.txt issue by deleting the second entry. However, when I add a few others from media.net, I see an error message saying that a “third-party file has been created.” I tried going into my cPanel directory and thought I deleted the text, but it still pops up. Any idea on how to delete that third party file?

    Thanks,
    Jeremy

    Hi Jeremy,

    Thanks for your reply.

Any idea on how to delete that third party file?

It depends on how this file is created. If you use any other plugin to create the ads.txt, I recommend disabling it. If you uploaded this file to your server before manually, you should be able to find it in the root directory of your WordPress installation.

You don’t need to use the ads.txt feature of Advanced Ads and can stay with your current solution. But you should clarify the second Google entry in it.

    Best regards,
    Joachim
