My host wants me to “audit to determine how the account was compromised in the first place.”

I got a warning from my host that there is a malware on one of my customer website.

I m thinking there are thousands of way a website can get melware.

How can I audit if I don’t know where to look.

Remain calm and carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures.

    here is what they say

We require that you provide InnoHosting with the following information within 24hrs:
    1. How this issue happened
    2. Why this issue happened
    3. What was the specific root cause and evidence to prove this
    4. What has been done to prevent this issue from recurring
    5. How you can be sure that this issue will not recur.

Is there a way you can actually strong PROVE strong that there is a root cause?

Prove what, exactly? Did you determine what the root cause was? Who is your hosting provider?
