    Hi there!

    First:

well I am looking this program and it seems to show code

What program are you referring to? Do keep in mind there are several code editors out there:

    https://brackets.io/
    https://atom.io/
    https://www.sublimetext.com/
    https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Gedit

    Second:

so how can I see code for storefront child theme

What child theme are you using? Do keep in mind too that all the themes in the repo ( www.ads-software.com/themes ) are GPL compatible and you are free to edit those files to your heart’s content.

using the official storefront child theme. when I open editor it is filled with code. is that child theme code or is that code for the editor program itself.

I’m going to guess that is code for the theme. Not many editors I’ve come across that will show you their source code as many are compiled from other programming languages.
