Advance Post – Excerpt Length Not Working

    I’m having some issues with excerpts using the custom excerpt in WordPress. Maybe this is just how it functions, but I tried the “excerpt” module in elementor on an individual page and limited characters and it worked.

    When I use Advanced Post, I get everything setup, and toggle the ‘content’ switch, and all options work, but the word limiter for excerpts do not. If I empty out that field, then my theme excerpt limiter works (but takes the first bit of content on a page rather than what I want as a custom).

    I have tried all the copy/paste functions I have seen around the web to limit the number of words, but nothing seems to be working.

    Is there something else I need to do in order to limit the words from custom excerpt in WP to display with the Advanced Post Elementor widget?
