I’m using the highly popular Avada theme. I’m also using a game plugin CTL Game and am loading a shortcode. when I add the game shortcode to the text editor, i get jumble text appearing on the page. no other shortcodes are showing errors. I loaded the shortcode on the basic twenty seventeed theme and it works fine. The plugin author said the error is showing because avada is making the shortcodes run through Avada’s fusion builder. The page is https://www.watchingpixels.com/slot-ramses-casino-game/

The shortcode is at the bottom text block and looks like this [ctl_arcade_game game=”ctl-slot-ramses” mode=”leaderboard” limit=”10″ period=”all-time” order=”DESC”]

The Avada developers mentioned: “Problem is from the plugin “Advanced Ads”, this plugin is changing the output of fusion builder and in case of this specific arcade shortcode it breaks down the output.”

When I disable advanced ads, the shortcode loads great. Is there a way I can have this fixed?

    Hi watchthepix,

thanks for your detailed explanation of the problem and research you already put into it!

Are you using any post content injections with Advanced Ads?
Do you have more information about what “changing the output of fusion builder” means?

    Thanks

not sure if this is a post content injection, but i’m using an in article ad that uses the “content” placement. Is that what you mean?

I don’t have any more info on how it’s changing it

Yes, the “Content” placement is a content injection.

I can not guarantee that I find a fix since content builders could contain very complex logic, but I can at least try. I would need to be able to play around, best not on a live site. Do you have a test environment?

that helped me out Thomas. I disabled the ads on the page and added in the ads I’d like to display (instead of going for the auto load via my settings). The plugin shows fine now as does the shortcode that was having the error. Thanks for the hint!
