advanced-cache.php link does not exist

  • I’m trying to use the cache plugin but I get this error.
    advanced-cache.php link does not exist
    Create it by executing:
    ln -s /var/www/vhosts/movie6.net/httpdocs/movies/wp-content/plugins/wp-cache/wp-cache-phase1.php /var/www/vhosts/movie6.net/httpdocs/movies/wp-content/advanced-cache.php
    in your server

    Cannot continue… fix previous problems and retry.

    I looked in the forums and i saw I have to make a symbolic link from wp-content/advanced-cache.php to wp-content/plugins/wp-cache/wp-cache-phase1.php.

    I don’t know how to make a symbolic link can anyone show me how its supposed to look like?

  • If WordPress can write in the wp-content directory, the installer of the plugin will do this for you.
    Try to reinstall the plugin.

    Reinstalling didn’t work I’m not sure if they are writable how do i make the files writable?

    Why deny from 59.0.0.0/8? I’m neither a spammer, hacker, or anything that sort of, nor I visited your site earlier.

    It was very first time, yesterday, that I clicked your site, through above given link. That’s because, I wanted to see what hack, you’ve writen, as WP-Cache No-symlink plugin is already avilable.

    rok, if you want to discuss my site how about you email me. This thread isnt about my htaccess, or why I choose to ban a particular netblock.

    If you must know though, I removed and I see that you happily were able to click through.

    whooami, sure, I’ll like to email you on this issue, because:

    1. I’m on the same Net, and due to some sick minded hackers etc. it’s creating bad impression to me.

    2. I had checked and I could access the page.

    Check you email, please.

    The solution is easy! Just make your “wp-content” folder writable.

    Meaning this: Go to your host’s “file browser” & look for something like “change permissions”.
