Advanced Category Excluder Trouble

  • Anyone using the plugin “Advanced Category Excluder”?

    I have been having a lot of problems with my site being flakey, menory problems too. A server guy says this about ACE:

    “Specifically it’s altering the posts queries and adding distinct to all of them causing the normally docile queries produced by wp core to all (every last one) full table scans that require filesorts and temporary tables. It’s overwhelming the server, and causing the queries to pile up (because they take minutes to complete each) and then BOOM.. wash, rinse, repeat.

    It’s essentially forcing every query to be the worst kind of query.”

    Does any of that seem likely? Anyone have the same problems?
